About

Who is Changes in Between?

Hi I’m Julie! I’m the founder of Changes in Between and I provide counselling, coaching, and consulting to honour your loss, rebuild your life, find your placeTM.

Sometimes when change happens in or to your life, you can become lost in the wilderness. Change can feel overwhelming! You’re not where you were, and you’re not yet where you want to or think you should be. As a result, your relationships to self and others, objects, possessions, past, present, future become confusing. Through our work together, you may make sense, and find meaning to enable you to feel better.

Honour Your Loss, Rebuild Your Life, Find Your PlaceTM

My own lived experience of becoming a young widow happened while I was working in the field of dying, death, and bereavement in 1996. Consequently, I now work with people experiencing life transitions in those changes in between.

Over the past 25 years, I have explored and experienced many different activities and educational paths. My aim is to bring you the best possible service at Changes in Between. Firstly, through commitment to ongoing learning in each of the focus areas. Secondly, by active membership with to professional associations and following their code of ethics. Thirdly, from relationships with peers and networks. Finally, with my own therapy, clinical supervision, coaching and mentoring, and a simple self-care plan. You can see some of my qualifications and professional associations below.

Consulting to Find Your Place

The approach that I take to organising and productivity consulting draws from the National Association for Productivity and Organising (NAPO), Institute for Challenging Disorganization, Hoarding Home Solutions, and Virtual Professional Organising. Areas of specialisation include chronic disorganisation, hoarding, ageing, ADHD, time management and productivity, life transition, residential organising, and household management.

Presently enrolled in an 18-month extensive organising and productivity program through NAPO University.

About me

I live in the North Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne with my husband, two sons and long-haired chihuahua.

Being part Danish, I enjoy learning more about the Danish culture, food, language and hygge. Becoming hygge (pronounced hue–guh) is a big part of my life. It has been described as a quality of cosiness, comfort, and contentment in the everyday, in our homes and connection with outdoors.

As a child, I lived next to a forest and spent much time in nature. Outdoor education has impacted on my life direction and has been a source of healing and self soothing. Being in and journeying in nature also played a significant part in working through my own grief as a young widow. In my spare time I enjoy bushwalking in the forest and walking around my local area.

You are welcome to use the 15-minute telephone enquiry to see if I may be the right person to meet your needs.
