How I Can Help
The counselling room I use is located in Heidelberg in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The first appointment is for 90 minutes with subsequent appointments 60 minutes.
All home-visits and walk and talk require an initial face to face counselling appointment.
For home-based counselling, coaching and consulting the initial consultation is held in the counselling room in Heidelberg. During this consultation we will discuss your requirements for home-based work.
The recommended booking time for home-visits is two hours. Sessions are always customised to your needs and may involve tasks between sessions. These sessions are particularly well suited for situational or chronic disorganisation.
Walk and Talk
Walk and Talk counselling and coaching sessions are held outside while walking. For some people, the natural environment offers an easier way to express their thoughts and feelings than in the confines of an indoor setting. For these services, the first session is conducted in the counselling room in Heidelberg.
Online and Phone Therapy
These sessions include phone and secure online (using Zoom). The duration is 60 minutes. These options are ideal if you live in regional, interstate or overseas locations (other than USA and Canada). Online and phone therapy is well suited for work between sessions for home-based clients and follow up for clients having a single session as well as providing you the convenience of attending appointments from your home.
Single-Session Counselling and Brief Therapy
Some people may only want or require a single session of counselling. These sessions are for 90 minutes and are structured differently to how multiple sessions may be conducted. A single session does not preclude the person from having more sessions but may be only required periodically. These sessions are suitable for any range of issues include situation and chronic disorganisation, grief, managing stress, anxiety, depression, workplace and relationship issues.
Some people have engaged the services of a professional organiser to help them to become more organised. A professional organiser is a highly skilled professional who can help with changes to a living or working space. Usually they will work with people to find out what their visions and hopes are for their space.

During COVID-19 restrictions appointments will be offered by phone or on-line only for 60 minutes and fees will be reduced to $100. Appointments will be offered on most weeknight evenings between 7:00pm until 9:00pm (AEST) and most weekends between 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
The initial consultation is $180 (90 minutes). The initial consultation is held in counselling rooms in Heidelberg unless otherwise organised. Subsequent consultations are $120 (60 minutes). For home visit counselling, the recommended booking time is two hours. A travel fee may apply.

Private Health Rebates
If you have extras with AHM Health Insurance, BUPA, Medibank Private, or Police Health & Emergency Services Health you may be covered for counselling (counselling room only). Contact your provider to ascertain whether counselling services are included in your private health cover extras. During COVID-19 Police Health and Emergency Services Health funds will provide rebates to eligible members on Telehealth (online) from 1 April 2020 until 30 September 2020 but this arrangement may be extended depending on the status of COVID-19 at that time.
I am not an NDIS Registered provider however, if you are plan managed or self-managed you can use NDIS to access counselling services.
Better Health Care (Medicare Rebates)
Please note that I am not registered with Medicare’s Mental Health Plan (MHP). The MHP requires a GP’s referral for a mental health condition and allows for up to 10 rebated sessions per year. While some providers are able to bulk bill clients in most instances there will be out of pocket expenses. Not all providers will offer home-visits and walk and talk therapy through a MHP.
